1
- 1-of-1(1/1, True 1/1)
- A card with a print run of exactly one, the rarest possible serial number. Often the chase pull of a release.
A
- Auto(Autograph)
- An autograph card, typically signed on-card by the player and inserted directly into a sealed pack. The most valuable category in most modern sets.
B
- Base
- The non-hit common cards in a set. Usually recycled or sold as bulk lots; not shipped individually.
- Box break
- A live break where the host opens a single sealed box of cards, with viewers buying spots beforehand.
- Break

- Breaker
- The seller running a break. Often runs multiple shows per week and operates as a small business.
- Black box
- Slang for a particularly bad break, all base, no hits. Worse than a dud.

C
- Case break
- A break of a sealed case (typically 12 boxes). Higher-revenue, higher-stakes than a single box break.

- Fanatics
- Fanatics Collect, the trading-card division now holding NFL/NBA/MLB exclusive licenses (replacing Topps and Panini contracts going forward).
- Featured break
- A high-profile case break the host has promoted heavily, often for a premium product. Sells out faster than dailies.
- Filler hit
- A 'hit' card that's technically a hit but commercially worthless, a base autograph of an unknown player. Frustrating but inevitable.
- Flow
- The pace at which spots sell during a live show. 'Slow flow' = stalled, 'fast flow' = sells out quick.
G
- Giveaway
- A spot the host gives away free during a stream, usually as a follower-acquisition tactic. Counts as a filler from a P&L standpoint.
- Grail
- The single card a buyer most wants. Often referenced when they pull or buy a spot in pursuit of one specific card.
H
- Hit
- Any card worth shipping individually, autograph, jersey patch, numbered parallel, or a major rookie. Drives the entire economic engine of breaks.
- Hobby box
- A retailer-restricted box configuration with higher hit rates than retail equivalents. The standard breaker product.
- Hot box
- A box with multiple high-value hits. The opposite of a dud. Every breaker's hope going in.

I

- Jumbo
- A larger box configuration with more packs than standard hobby. Used in higher-spot breaks.
L
- Loose(Loose box)
- A box that's been resealed or that wasn't shrink-wrapped from manufacture. Trust issues, most breakers refuse.
M
- Mixer
- A break combining multiple boxes from different products into one show. Higher AOV, harder to track, popular with experienced breakers.
- Mojo
- A specific refractor parallel pattern (originally Topps). Also slang for a great hit pull.
N

- A card with a serial number stamped on it (e.g., 23/99 means 23rd of 99 produced). Lower print runs = higher value.
O
- On-card auto
- An autograph signed directly on the card itself, vs a sticker auto signed on a sticker then applied. Always more valuable.
P

- Retail
